The ForeverScape illustration has grown modestly each day since 2009. Currently, it is hundreds of meters long. | A Film by Carlos Severe. If the tension is too great, the roll will telescope and even tear. If the tension is too loose, the it will not roll tight enough. If the winder doesn't change speed, it will become too fast as the diameter increases. The surface sensor tells the wonder how fast to go, while the tension sensors keep the feeder going at the correct speed.
