This is the only planet we have right now. We cannot destroy it, though we try. We shatter it and collect the treasures locked within, but in the end the Earth will win.

A Crossroads
In the Stream of Consciousness
The piece is "A Stream of Consciousness" and is from my album Shattered Owl (2022). It is a mostly orchestral piece with some synths and drum kit. Some things that makes this piece interesting and worthy of discussion on your podcast is the approach to harmony, the use of complex rhythms, the lack of formal structure and the hybrid genre:
Harmony- Similar to the approach taken in the Renaissance by composers such as Carlo Gesualdo, the harmonies are a side-effect of the individual melodic lines. During the composition process I considered only the intervalic relationships between the lines with no consideration for the resulting chords or implied key signatures.
Rhythm- There is frequent use of hemiola, polyrhythms and asymmetrical time signatures.
Structure- As the name implies, it is a pretty free-form piece. There is a primary theme that is explored throughout the piece but there is only one occasion where a part comes back in its original state, other than that there are no recurring sections.
Hybrid genre- There are some elements of medieval and renaissance music, there is a lot of 20th century classical, there is some rock and roll when the drums come in toward the end.
"Enidlareg" is a lullaby for solo piano and is part of the larger work "Shattered Owl (an ode to nature)". The work explores climate change and this piano piece is a contemplative interlude contemplating a newborns entrance into the world.
